Majacraft Wheel Skeiner
The Majacraft Wheel Skeiner, crafted from American Ash, is a stunning and adaptable tool that promises a delightful spinning experience. Attaching it to your Majacraft wheel is a breeze, allowing you to effortlessly begin skeining. The kit thoughtfully includes a spacer tube and wooden nut to secure the skeiner arms to the flyer spindle, ensuring optimal functionality and convenience.
We have all experienced the nightmare of having to wind our spun yarn off the bobbins, which can be done effortlessly with a niddy noddy to set the twist, but should you then want to get that skein re-wound on your yarn winder, ready for spinning, or even just to organise your skeins after washing or dyeing, you need a skeiner…
I do not even want to count the times I messed up my lovely spun yarn and how much time I have had to spend to date on unraveling crows nests my skeining, reskeining or deskeining efforts caused me… Suffice it to say, this tiny little tool is worth every cent you pay for it – and the fact that you can just coolly sit and treadle your yarn into perfection… The Majacraft Wheel Skeiner is pure love at first sight! And it doesn’t take up much space either, no need for a table, just use your wheel, you’re using it anyway!
Two other must-have tools that go hand-in-hand with a skeiner (also called a swift), are a Niddy Noddy and a tensioned Lazy Kate Majacraft Lazy Kates. Be sure to check out the Majacraft Niddy Noddy too. Niddy Noddy
People often forget how important these relatively inexpensive tools are, and they are often overlooked too, but once you have them and use them, you are going to wonder how on earth you made do without them! Start your collection now, and invest in quality tools from the start, you will never be sorry. And I’m probably going to be called a ‘brand-snob’, but there is something pretty satisfying in KNOWING and SEEING how all your equipment not only work together, but they fits together too, like a beautiful symphony! It just brightens your day!
